Nose fillers Perth: No surgery needed for the shape and contour of your nose
Nose fillers are a popular treatment for anyone who has been unhappy about the appearance or shape of their nose but does not want to go through painful and expensive surgery. The fillers are injected under the surface of the skin, to add volume or contour. It is also referred to as a “non-surgical rhinoplasty” because there are no incisions or bandages, and no downtime or significant bruising and bleeding. Nose fillers are a minimally invasive treatment to adjust the shape and symmetry of the nose. The results are visible instantly. The procedure can smooth out bumps, eliminate hooks, thin bridges or adjust asymmetry. The results are not permanent, but they can last for longer than a year, followed by slight touch-ups to maintain the look you want.

What are nose fillers?
Nose fillers is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that can correct features or improve the shape of the nose. It is also referred to as a “non-surgical rhinoplasty.” The fillers are injected beneath the surface of the skin, to add volume or symmetry, smooth out bumps in the bridge, or give the shape of the nose a more slender look. We see patients for nonsurgical nose jobs for wide nose, asymmetrical features, bumps, and hooks. All of these can be fixed with fillers. The fillers that we use at Fresh Faces Cosmetic Medicine are ultra-premium brands, which are the safest and highest quality dermal fillers. The fillers add shape and volume to fix the nose from beneath the surface of the skin. Results from dermal fillers are instantly visible.

Your nose fillers treatment.
Many patients who come to us with nose fillers have considered rhinoplasty surgery but would rather have a treatment that is non-invasive, without incisions. After your consultation, the treatment can begin right away. A topical anesthetic or numbing cream can be applied to reduce the pain or discomfort of the injections. Nose fillers are injected with a very fine needle or cannula, using extreme precision. The fillers are placed beneath the surface of the skin, improving the shape and contour of your nose. You will notice a change immediately, as the skin is visibly lifted and features are smoothed. The Injectors can gradually add volume until you achieve your desired results, and you do not have to worry about having too much filler added. The entire procedure will take less than an hour. Afterward, instead of weeks of recovery, there is no downtime and you can return to your daily routine as soon as you walk out of our office. There is less chance of bruising, and the treatment can be reversed easily if you are not happy with the results. It could take a week or two to see the full results, as the fillers settle in your skin.
Recovery time and possible side-effects for nose fillers
You can return to your daily routine immediately after the treatment. However, you should be aware of potential, non-serious nose fillers side effects that can occur. You may notice mild bruising, swelling, tenderness, redness or bleeding from the injection sites. Those are completely normal and should disappear in just a few days. Recovery time always varies for each patent.
Recommendations to minimize side effects and speed up recovery include the following:
- If you can go without wearing glasses or sunglasses, it’s best to do so immediately following the treatment
- You can apply ice or a cold pack if your nose is tender, swollen or feels bruised, but don’t use too much pressure
- Don’t massage your nose or the injection points
- Stay hydrated! Drink plenty of water, and avoid salty, spicy or processed food, as well as alcohol
- Try to sleep facing up with your head elevated on 2 pillows
- Be careful when applying makeup around the nose or washing your face
- Avoid hot baths and showers, or activities that involve excessive sweating and no strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours
How long do nose fillers last?
Just like other filler treatments, like lip fillers and tear trough fillers, results for nose fillers are instantly noticeable, as the fillers give immediate volume and shape from underneath your skin. Depending on your treatment, it could take 1-2 weeks for the fillers to fully settle, for you to see the final result. Fillers can also be a better choice over surgery because they are not permanent, so there is almost no risk if you do not like the results. Before the treatment, you will see non-surgical nose jobs before and after photos, so that you know what to expect for results. The treatment can be reversed. Eventually, the fillers are broken down naturally and safely absorbed by the body. For most patients, nose fillers can last up to 12-18 months. After a year or two, you may consider coming back to our office for small touch-ups to maintain your results.
Are nose fillers safe?
Rhinoplasty surgery can be expensive, painful, and require weeks of recovery. Nose fillers are a “non-surgical rhinoplasty” and the treatment has minimal side effects and no downtime. The procedure is overall very safe, with far fewer risks than surgery. Common side effects that can occur from dermal fillers include swelling, redness, or slight bleeding from the injection points. These are all completely normal and will disappear in a few days. Other possible reactions that are rare but possible include rashes or acne-like bumps near the injection sites. There is a low chance of bruising and allergic reactions, and the materials are eventually broken down and absorbed safely into the body.
Before your appointment for fillers, the area and your skin should be free of abnormalities such as cold sores, open wounds or infections. The doctor or injector will examine your skin, he/she may recommend waiting until they are healed, to avoid agitation and infections. There are also higher risks for patients with autoimmune diseases, blood disorders, or allergies to anesthesia. Please discuss your medical history with our injector during your consultation so that he/she is aware of any potential risks.
Should any of your side effects last for more than a few days, or if you notice other or more serious reactions, please call us immediately.
