Book a free consultation with us, and we can review all of the options and choose a treatment based on your desired results. All of the treatments are safe and proven to give results for beautiful, rejuvenated skin.
Beauty & Skin Boosters – one of our most common requests is small beauty boosters or dermal fillers, to add or replace lost volume and elasticity in the skin. Our fillers contain a substance found in our bodies that is known to retain moisture and give our skin plumpness and shape. As our faces age, we may notice our laugh lines, bags under our eyes, and wrinkles along our lips. With fillers, our master injectors can restore the volume and lift the skin, adding plumpness and moisture, for a fresh, hydrated look.
Carbon Laser Facial – This is one of the most common treatments in Hollywood, known to give skin a beautiful glow, with no downtime. This treatment uses volcanic mud that is black, and full of carbon. It is applied to the skin, and when the mud is dry, a laser is used to heat the pigments and vaporize the carbon, which also removes the top layer of dead, dull skin. The heating technique also triggers collagen production at the surface of your skin. Results are a smooth beautiful complexion and glow.
Chemical Peels – A chemical peel works like exfoliation to destroy and remove the top layer of your skin, and to encourage collagen production at the surface, erasing scars and age spots, and diminishing fine lines. Skin is left with a smooth, healthy and younger complexion.
Collagen Induction Therapy – This highly effective treatment includes multiple different therapies such as skin needling, PRP, skin boosters, lasers, threading and injectable biostimulators. After a few weeks, the skin is noticeably smoother, with less visible scars, lines and wrinkles.
PRP – Skin needling can also be done with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), also known as the “Vampire Facial” using the platelets in our blood that are full of nutrients and oxygen to encourage new and younger skin.
Injectable biostimulators – Anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most common cosmetic treatments in the world. The materials in these injections temporarily relax the muscles causing unwanted wrinkles, such as forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, frown lines and upper lip lines. These are not the same as dermal fillers, which add volume and shape. Biostimulators work with your muscles to ease the muscles that pull your skin into wrinkles and lines.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation – Intense Pulse Light is a form of laser treatment that uses quick and intense pulses of light, that penetrate the skin, destroying areas of pigmentation, which makes it an ideal treatment for erasing scars and age spots. It also encourages the production of collagen below the surface of the skin. Skin is visibly smoother, with scars, depressions and wrinkles reduced.
Laser Skin Rejuvenation & Resurfacing – light and laser-based treatments are one of the most popular forms of rejuvenation treatments, thanks to their effectiveness and for being completely non-invasive. Lasers are calibrated to an exact precision depending on the treatment, and can treat up to 70 different skin ailments. At Fresh Faces Cosmetic Medicine, we use laser treatments for everything from anti-aging, pigmentation correction, and scar removal. The energy from lasers penetrates the skin, boosting collagen production just a few millimeters below the surface.
Skin needling – This treatment uses needles to create tiny wounds on the surface of your skin, stimulating collagen through your body’s own healing response. In many cases, we add in Platelet enriched Plasma (PRP) to the treatment since it contains your own tissue repair and growth factors for healing and fresh, young skin.
Threadlifting – This minimally invasive procedure lifts the skin slightly from below the surface and promotes long-term collagen growth. Soft threads are inserted under the skin, to lift sagging skin and reduce the signs of aging. There are no incisions, and over the following 24 months the threads dissolve and your body produces collagen to build long-lasting firmness and elasticity from within. Our own Dr Josephs is the Regional Master Trainer for this “uplifting” treatment, so you know you’ll be in good hands.

This is the opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. The doctor/nurse will examine your skin and then he or she will make a recommendation for treatment. He/she will then walk you through the procedure and what you can expect.. Before your appointment, you should avoid the sun, and stop taking medications, such as Retin-A, Renova, or glycolic acid. After your consultation, we can normally begin the treatment immediately.
Does skin rejuvenation hurt?
Most patients can begin their skin rejuvenation treatments right after the consultation. All of the treatments we offer are non-invasive, and are designed to encourage the skin’s natural production of collagen, leaving fresh, smooth texture on the surface of the skin.
Most of the treatments are virtually painless, and do not require any numbing cream or anesthetic. Chemical and carbon laser facials remove the top layer of skin, so you may feel a slight discomfort, but most patients say the pain level is easily tolerable. IPL and laser treatments require energy and heat to penetrate the surface of the skin, and patients report the pain is no worse than a mild sunburn. With beauty boosters (fillers), biostimulators, skin needling and PRP and thread lifting, the doctor/nurse will apply a numbing cream to the skin first to minimize the pain.
Recovery time and possible side effects for skin rejuvenation
Please see below to understand what you can expect after the skin rejuvenation procedures. Your recovery time will depend on the treatment, and your body’s own pace of healing.
Beauty boosters (dermal fillers) and biostimulator treatments – Treatments of fillers and wrinkle relaxers have no downtime at all, and you can return to your daily routine as soon as you leave our office. You may have swelling, redness or tenderness, but those should fade after a few days.
For IPL and laser treatments – you may look like you have a mild sunburn, but there is no downtime as well. Applying moisturizer will help reduce pain.
Chemical Peels and Carbon Laser Peels – the recovery time could vary depending on the severity of the peel, and how many layers have been erased from the surface. The top layer of your skin will dry and peel after a few days, and you could have redness and feel like your skin has been sunburnt.
Skin needling & PRP – Your skin may be tender, blotchy and red for a few days after it has been needled. Other side effects are swelling or bruising, but they should be mild and disappear after a few days.
Threadlifting – Your skin may feel a bit tight or sore for a few days after the treatment. You may also notice swelling or skin depressions as well. These are all normal and will decrease after 2-3 days.
To help with healing and to minimise any risks of infection, we recommend the following:
Stay out of the sun, since your skin will be very sensitive, and there is risk of hyperpigmentation. Once your skin is healed, be very diligent with applying sunscreen. Use a full spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 to protect against UVA and UVB rays
Be very gentle when washing your face (mild soap only!)
Do not apply makeup or foundation for at least 24 hours
Avoid hot baths or hot showers for 48 hours after the treatment
Do not do strenuous exercise or any activity that causes excessive perspiration for 48 hours after the treatment
To avoid irritation or infections, do not scratch or pick blisters or peeling skin
Before and after your treatments, do not use Accutane. Additionally do not use forms of Vitamin A acid, including retinoic acid, tretinoin (Retin-A), glycolic acid, and alpha-hydroxy acids
Are skin rejuvenation treatments safe for my skin?
Skin rejuvenation treatments are simply to give your natural beauty a little pick-me-up. The risks are very low, and the results are fresh, healthy skin. Our treatments at Fresh Faces Cosmetic Medicine treatments are topical and non-surgical. Please be aware, however, that every cosmetic treatment can have risks, depending on the patient’s health and if proper care is followed after the procedure.
The most common side effects to skin rejuvenation treatments are mild pain, tenderness, swelling, or redness, similar to the effects of a sunburn. The needling, threadlifting and peels will have more risks as the wounds on the skin heal. Potential side effects include infection if the skin if not properly cared for, prolonged redness or grazing. Resurfacing treatments, including laser procedures can also lead to hyper and/ or hypo pigmentation if you prematurely expose your skin to the sun. Skin treatments can often cause the herpes virus to flare up (cold sores). If you suffer from cold sores, please let us know prior to your treatment. Please let your doctor/nurse know if you have blood disorders or autoimmune diseases, as they could also affect the healing of your skin.
